THE PEOVINCIAL GOVEENMENT of Canterbury invite TENDERS for the EEECTION of a BRIDGE over the Eakaia River in accordance with plans and specification to be seen the office of the Provincial Engineer, on and after TUESDAY next, the 27th inst. The bridge to be built of 96 spans of 40 feet each, with approaches of about 779 feet in length. ' The Government is prepared to receive and consider plans differing from, or modifications of those for the carrying out of which, it calls for tenders. Plans and specifications to be forwarded with the tender. The Government engage to return unaccepted plans and required to do so. Sealed tenders, endorsed " Eakaia Bridge," to be sent in to this office not later than noon on tho Ist July next. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. EDWD.
