The 8 8 Beautiful Star, Captain , ' Hepburn, arrived" in harbour early yesterday morning She left Wanganui on Wednesday at 2 pm, with 42 horses and and a quantity of live pigs for Dunedin, and would not have called at Lyttelton, but running short of water for three hours they vrere obliged to come into Port. She eafled at 12 30 p m for Dunedin. The lateet "Argue ,, to hand contains an advertisement stating that McMeokan, Blackwood, and Co*a vessels would sail for Hew Zealand port#as follows:—The Tararua, 15th inst, via Bluff and Otago; the Bangitoto, 20th met, via Hokitika j the Ghothenburg, 25th inst, via Bluff and Otago. The M A and N Z Go's s s Omeo, Captain H Maokie, arrived ia harbour at Ipm yes* terday. She left Hobson's Bay at 345 p m on the 9th inst, and cleared Port Phillip Heads at 7p m, with strong EX £ wind; passed the company's s s Bangitoto at 2 p m on the following day, in Bass's straits, and took her departure from Swan Island at midnight; strong S E and ES £ winds were encountered throughout the passage i land was sigh ted at sam on the 15th. The Solander was passed at noon the same day and the vessel arrived at the Bluff at 645 pm j discharged cargo at 5 pm on the 16th, and experienced S SB winds with thick foggy weather till her arrival in Fort Chalmers, which was reached at 7 10 a m on the 17th. On the 14th inst, in lat 44deg 40sec S, long 162min 20seo E, the Omeo exchanged/signals with the ship Ann Dathje, from Sydney to London, whose captoaa. asked to be reported. A barque, supposed to be the Bengal, was eeen coming through iovaaux Strait on Tuesday evening On arrival at Port Chalmers the Omeo was' boarded by Captain Thompson, the officer, and Dr J. Drysdale, who made an examination of foe general health of the paseengere, which was found to be good, she eaHed again at 5 p m on the 18th, experiencing fine weather tin til her arrival in Lyttelton as *bom.
