THISTLES.
TO THE EDITOB OP THE PBESS. Sib, —On the heads of thistles in different localities in this province the seed is fast ripening, so that shortly the additions—by no means sparse—to the future thistle crop will be on the wing, carried by the wind to fresh ground and well disseminated in the length bnd breadth of the country. If there is such an institution as a Farmer's Bights Protection Society, then the sooner its voice in the matter is heard the better. The facts are that the previous work of eradicating this weed from the wa9te lands and our farms is to be undone, while the expense of redoing in future years will be a literal waste through want of foresight and their thorough eradication is further removed from us. My inveotives on the Scot who brought them here to remind him of his country, and might he live on them instead of clover ! Yours, &c, AOBICULTITBIST.
