Two mileß, over eight flights of hurdles. 3 yrs, 9st lOlbs; 4 yrß, 10st 61bs ; 5 yrs, list ; 6 yrs and aged, list 71bs ; winner of any hurdle race or steeplechase of the value of £50 and upwards to carry £10 extra ; of any stake under £50, 7lbs extra. Maiden Plate of 2 soys each and 25 soys added. One mile and a-half. C.J.O. weights. Confined to horses which shall have been bond fide the property of a resident in the district (according to the Road Board map) from September 19, 1867. The Ellesmebe Plate of 4 soys each and 40 soys added. Two miles and a-half 3 yrs, 7st 81bs; 4 yrs, 9st; 5 yrs, 9st 71bs; 6 yrs and aged, 9at lOlbs. The Leeston Tbial Stakes of 2 soys each and 20 soys added ; for three-year-olds One mile and a-half. C.J.C. weights. Conditions the same as for the Maiden Plate. The winner of the Maiden Plate will not be disqualified for this race. Hack Race, of 1 soy each and saddle and bridle added, for untrained horses. Threequarters of a mile. Catch weights. All horses excluded which have won public money. Consolation Handicap, of 1 soy each and 10 soys added, for beaten horses. One mile. Entries for the four first races will close at the Leeston Hotel on December 8, 1867, at eight p.m., to be addressed to the Secretary of the Leeston Race Committee. Ten per cent, of all winnings to be deducted to go to the fund. Three horses, the property of different owners, to start in each race, or the added money will not be given. Colours of the riders to be stated at the time of entry ; any jockey riding in different colours to those named will be fined one sovereign. ' Any one entering a horse for this meeting must be a subscriber of not less than one guinea to the fund. The meeting will be held under the C.J.C rules.
