The " Examiner," of the 26th ult., reports— The news brought by the Derwent.thie morning, has had the effect of still further hardening the . breadstuffs market. Small parcels of wheat are offering at 4a 6d ; but, could a large parcel be offered, a considerable advance on that price might be obtained. We observe it is stated in the Melbourne papers that a shipment of 20*000 bushels had changed hands here, for export, at ss, free on board ; but we have been unable to ascertain the truth of this. Hour is worth £10 to £10.10s. Hay is now worth 40e to 45s ; oats, from Is 9d to 2s; English barley, 7s ; Cape barley, 8e ; rye:, grass seed, 4s to 5s 6d ; bran, £4 5s ; pollard, £5; Tasmanian oatmeal, £18 ; sharps,'' £5, IDs j potatoes, £1 per ton, without bags.
