From the placard outside the Telegraph Station we publish the following arrivals and departures, viz. :— W-U-urarGTOH. Arrived —December I—l a.m., Beautiful Star from Dunedin. Nsisonr. Arrived —December I—2 p.m., Star of the South from Napier. Sailed—December 10 a.m., Keera for West Coast. Pob* Chai_____bs. Arrived—December I—s1 —5 a.m., Taiaroa from Waikari; 6 am., Geelong from Omaru; 6.45, Waikopai from Invercargill; 5 p.m., Chile, ship, at Heads, from London. The following is the report of the Immigration Commissioners on the ship Glenmarfr and the immigrants brought out in her:— The Commissioners report that every part of the vessel was cleanly, comfortable, and orderly. The immigrants expressed every satisfaction with the provisions, and with the care and attention they had received. i The master, surgeon, and officers are re- : -commended.for full gratuities. The Commissioners have again to complain' of the mixture of classes in the compartments' which should be allotted to immigrants alone.j This in the married compartment had caused; quarrelling between immigrants and " passen-j gers, in one case leading to a breach of the; peaoe, which has had to be referred to the' Magistrate's. Court here. In the single women's compartment a portion were indulged with enclosed berths, and in consequence refused, to take their share of duty* in cleaning, See: . , The Commissioners are informed that there 1 was no differenoa, in the payment made by| these immigrant-..' j The distilling apparatus (Graveley'e) had' irorked'well throughout the royage, and appeared to be under the management of a ekilful engineer.
