Mails for Otago and Southland will close at OhristcHrxrcti at 8 a.m., and. ILyttelton at 11.15 a.m., on Friday, the 6th proximo, Mails, per Tararua, for the United Kingdom, the Continent of Europe, America (via Panama), and the Northern ports of New Zealand, will close at Christchurch at 10 a.m., and Lyttelton at 1.'30 p.m. on Friday, the 6th proximo. j Money orders must be procured at Christchurch before 4 p.m., and Lyttelton before 1 p.m, and registered letters posted before 5 p.m. on Thursday, tbe sth proximo. Late letters for places within and beyond the colony, by payment of an extra sixpenny stamp upon each letter, can be posted at Christchurclvtill 1 p.m., and Lyttelton till 2.30 p.m. on Friday, the 6th proximo.
