WESTLAND.

The «« West Coast Times," of the 25th inst., says:— We have to note a very limited business in the import market for the week, scarcely any additions having been made to stocks. The cargo of produce ex Aurora, from the Molyneux, bi'ing the only contribution to hand. The sale of this shipment, which was submitted to the hammer, shows an improvement in value of these staples. Potatoes realised £8 per ton; oats, 3s 4d to 3s 6d per bushel. "Cerealß generally have an upward tendency. Flour remains firm at £17 10s per ton. There is a tendency to improvement in provisions— first-class hams and bacon are working low in stock. The enhanced value of brandies noted in our last has been maintained, and for known good brands there is an increasing demand. Henccssy's case has been freely placed at an improvement on late quotations. Beer (English), in bulk, has met with more favour, the preference being given to Bass's No. 4. Beer, in glass—not much demand. Tho tenor of the markets on the whole are in favour of importers. £2075 lis 3d were collected for import duties for the week.
