FARMERS' CLUB. A PUBLIC MEETING will be held at the Market Hall, Cathedral-square, Christchurch, on SATURDAY, November 30, 1867, at three o'clock p.m., for the purpose of confirming the establishment of the Canterbury Farmers' Club, receiving and adopting rules and regulations for conducting business, electing officers and committee, enrolling members, and other matters. N.B—The rules and regulations now framed are of a liberal character, the objects of the promoters comprising a general diffusion of knowledge on agricultural subjects, by encouraging debatesand lectures (to be open to all members of similar clubs), and a general interchange of experience : to open and maintain correspondence with kindred societies in Britain, the British colonies, America, &c. j securing suitable books, periodicals and papers ft>r the use of members ; to assist in the formation of similar clubs in outlying districts, and in connection with them the collection and compilation of such cropping and other statistical information as may prove desirable; also, for simultaneously distributing informamation and effecting united action on matters affecting the agricultural community. I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE, pursuant to Clause VI. of " The Canterbury Waste Lands Act, 1866," that an application has been lodged in the Land Office, Christchurch, by the 'Trust and Agency Company of Australasia, Limited," as the holder of Pasturage Licenses Nos. 182 and 391, Class 3; and by the " Bank of New South Wales," as holder of Pasturage License No. 377, Class 3, to have the boundaries of the said Pasturage Licenses ! re-adjusted, and fresh licenses issued, by the Waste Lands Board, in accordance with such re-adjusted boundaries, under the provisions of Clause 111. of the said Act. !
