Mails for the Northern ports and Australian colonies will close at Christchurch at 11 a.m., and Lyttelton at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, the 27th inßtnnt. On and after Monday, October 7, mails for Timaru and the South road will close at this o ffioe as ;6» p. m. on Monday s, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On and after the Ist January, the Oxford and Moeraki Downs mails will close at Christchurvh at 8 a.m. every Tueeday and Friday, insteadofiMonday, Wednesday i and Friday ; and for Hurunui at 8 a.m. every Monday, instead of Mondays and Wednesdays, as heretofore.
