, Howell—June 26, at Bath Place, Stroud Gloucestershire, England, in his eighty-third year, John Selby Howell The deceased served bs petiy officer on board of his 1 tte Majesty George the Third's ship York during part of the Peninsular war ; he was also, for more than half-a-century, Parish Clerk of St. Lawrence Church, and schoolmaster of the Hunting or Red Coat, School.
