IN Pursuance of the Provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, entituled " The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," and of another Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, entituled " The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," I, William Donald, Returning Officer for the Provincial Electoral District of Heathcote, do hereby "give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the twenty-sixth day of March, 1867, issued under the hand of his Honor the Superintendent of Canterbury, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council of Canterbury for the said Electoral District, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Road Board Office, Ferry road, on Monday, the fifteenth day of April, 1867, and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on Wednesday, the seventeenth day of April, 1867.
