His Excellency Sir George Grey, accompanied by Major Richardson, Major Grey, and the Rev. Mr Thatcher, landed at about. half-past ten, and 'Was received by Mesers Watson, Aylmer, Latter, and several other of the inhabitants. He Visited the church, and after calling on some of the old French settlers, returned on board at a little before one p.m. The ship then 1 " weigHed anchor, took a short tonr towards the head/bf the harbor, and proceeded en route for Wellington at about halfpaat two p.m.
