Our files are to the Ist inst. The " Daily News," of the 30th ult, reports for the week :— .■ The fine weather experienced during the week earned a marked improvement in business. In some articles of consumption an upward tendency was manifested; we may except flonr, which, since the arrival of the Camilla with 1500 bags, cannot be quoted above from £23 to £24 per ton for Adelaide, and £19 to £20 for Chilian. Oats are advancing in price, and are. worth from 4s 9d to 5s 3d per bushel. Oaten hay is worth £6; chaff, £8 per ton ; potatoes, £9 per ton, and in demand In grocery goods: station sugar, £35 to £40 per ton - bright yellow, £54; and Victoria Company's No. 1, £56 per ton. Teas, inferior, £7 10s to £8 per chest; good, from £10 to £11. Butter (salted) has declined in value considerably in consequence of expected arrivals from Melbourne, and may be quoted at from Is 6d to Is 9d.
