We have our files to the Ist instant. The " Times" of that date reports:— The week has not opened briskly, but there is more disposition to do business apparent, and the trade of the next few days is likely to present some improvement. Importers are again placing shipments to arrive, though as yet the transactions which have transpired are not particularly.heavy. The flour market continues very inactive and without any change in value, and nearly all Btaple goods remain at unaltered quotations.
