BARNARD has received instructions from the Stewards of the Christchurch Grand Provincial Steeplechase to sell by unreserved auction, in the Repository, at 12 o'clock, on Saturday next: — Two sites for refreshments under the Grand Stand, each 30 x 30 feet, substantially erected and fitted up. N.B.—The above are the only sites to be offered, and will be sold without the slightest reserve. Terms at sale. 5-10 TOWN OF ROLLESTON. THE TOWN SECTIONS will shortly be sold by auction by MESSRS. OLLIVIER & SON. The Great Southern Railway will for the present have its terminus at the Town of Rolleston, where also various lines for tramways diverge. The advantages of this position for a town are obvious; it is situated exactly opposite the Railway station near Weeden, and will be the depot for the surrounding neighborhood down to the Lake, and up to the Malvern Hills. There is a well with fifteen feet of water, at a depth of sixty feet only, at the Railway Station. The sections will be open for application at the upset price of £25 per half-acre, as laid out on the plans, and the applicant shall become the purchaser if no advance is made upon that price at the sale.
