RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
j Chbistchtiech —January 15. [Before C. C. Bawss, Esq., B.M.] William Collins was brought up in custody, charged with embezzlement. Mr. Wilcoi appeared for the defence. After hearing the evidence, the Resident Magistrate committed him for trial at the next session of the Supreme Court. Joseph Carr was fined 10s for being drunk and disorderly. A case against Alexander Brown, for being drunk and incapable, was dismissed ■with a caution. ' John Thomas Henley was brought up in custody, charged with stealing a bridge from George Long. The Besident Magistrate stated, that from the evidence, he did not think that prisoner had any fraudulent intention of stealing the bridle, although he had bceu guilty of great neglect; he (the Resident Magistrate) should therefore dismiss the case, at the same time cautioning the prisoner.
