TO THE EDITOR OP THE ' PBES3 ' Sra, —"Will you oblige mc by correcting a slight inaccuracy in your report of what I said at the ing of ratepayers held last evening, asto my conversation with Mr, Me\d. I said that Mr., Weld seemed very much surprised, and doubted by opinion, especially as the Attorney-General was satisfied that the Provincial Governments had power to pass an Act creating municipal bodies. - I should be sorry that Mr. Weld should suppose that I had misrepresented what he stated to mc on, the subject. lam, your obedient servant, i W.
