PIGEON BAY SCHOOL. PUBLIC MEETING. THEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, in accordance with the terms of the Education Ordinance, 1864, a Public Meeting of the owners and occupiers of land, and householders resident in the Pigeon Bay District, as hereinafter described, will be held at the ischool-room, Pigeon Bay, at one o'clock in the afternoon, on Thursday, the 11th of May proximo, for the purpose of ascertaining whether such owners, occupiers, and householders are willing that the said district should be formed into an Educational District, and for ascertaining whether such owners and occupiers of land and householders are willing to provide the proportion of the annual expenses of an Educational District to be paid by such district, as provided by the Education Ordinance, 1864. The following is the description of the proposed boundaries of the district referred to : —Bounded by a line drawn from the east-head of Pigeon Bay, southwards along the ridge of the hills to the ridge round Akaroa Harbor, following the latter ridge westwards to the junction of the Pigeon Bay and Purau lines of road, following the said Purau road till it meets the ridge separating Holmes' Gully from !
