POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails per Prince Alfred, for England, Sydney,! Brisbane, and Nelson, will close both at Lyttelton and Christchurch at four, p.m., on Thursday, the 9th instant. Late letters, by payment of an extra sixpenny stamp upon each letter, con be posted at Christchurch until witliiu three hours, aud at Lyttelton until within one hour of the sailing of the steamer on Friday the 10th iußtant. Money Orders for this Mail must be procured before noon on the 9th instant,, both at Lyttelton and Christchurch. Mails per Lord Ashley, for the Australian Colonies, India, the Mediterranean Ports, Dunedin, and Supplementary Mails for England, will close at Lyttelton and Christchurch on Monday, tho 13th instant, at five, p.m. Late letters, by payment of an extra sixpenny stamp upon each letter, can be posted for England and Dunedin only, at Christchurch until within three hours, and at Lyttelton until within one hour of the sailing of the steamer on Tuesday the 14th instant. Money Orders for the latter Mails must be procured both ot Lyttelton and Cliristchurch before four, p.m., on Saturday, the 11th inst. F. E. Weight, Chief Postmaster.
