( To __ Editor of flte Press.) Sir,—l hope your article thus headed will meet with the attention it deserves. My object in writing these few line* is to observe that the suppression of vice was one of the principal objects contemplated by the Synod of this Diocese in recommending the formation of Parochial Associations* , Let us bope that the Christchurch Parochial - Association, or Church Union, will soon be. set on foot, and that it will keep thia object steadily in view, aud among its earliest deliberations, cousider the expediency of helping to put in force the provisions of the new Tippling Act In a matter of this kind, which is the common concern of all Christians, tho Association might act in concert with other societies connected* with other Christian bodies, and thus practically exhibit an approach to the "In Necc_sa_iis Unita3" re-otmnended by you in another article in the same issue.
