Marathon Piano Player
An attempt to break his own piano playing record, made by Mr Jim Montecino at Napier has failed. The marathon pianist set out on Friday last in his attempt, but broke down after he had been 138 hours at the keyboard* 462 hours short of his record. His fingers were raw and the quicks were worn away, whilst his left foot and leg were swollen. He was removed to hospital, a doctor stating that his heart had been weakened by the exertion.
