Competition For Cattle At Te Teko
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report having held their fortnightly sale at Te Teko on September 18. There was a fair yarding of pigs and prices were well in advance of previous sales of pigs held at Te Teko.
There was a medium yarding of cattle for which competition was keen throughout. Prices realised were as under:— Pigs: Choppers, £7 15s to £ll 1.7 s baconers, £6 5s to £7 Os; stores, heavy, £5 to £5 18s; stores, light, £3 Is to £4 14s. Dairy Cattle £7 5s to £l9. Cattle: Fat cattle, £7 to £l4 17s 6d; boners, £4 to £6 12s Gd; calves, £8 12s 6d.
