HARBOUR DEVELOPMENT BAY OF PLENTY AREA A Committee of Inquiry has been instructed to investigate and report to the Hon. Minister of Works upon proposals for harbour development in the Bay of Plenty area, and in particular upon what immediate and future provision should be made and the site for such development, taking into account all factors involved.

Any person or persons desiring to make a submission on these matters should do so in writing to the Chairman, Bay of Plenty Harbour Committee of Inquiry, C/- Ministry of Works, Tauranga, before noon, 25th September. The Committee expects to commence investigations in the area on Monday, the 25th September 1950, and persons making submissions may be requested to attend at a suitable time and place to give further evidence or be examined by the Committee if the Committee so desires.
