SOARING PRICES
Sir, —The soaring price of a universal necessity inspired:— “The cup that cheers” A cup of tea undoubtedly Promotes domestic harmony Is always fresh and up to date Cheers but does not inebriate Miminifying snarls and snorts When folks are feeling out of sorts A cup of tea in bed is bliss That neither spouse nor swain should miss But woe to the unlucky he Who haplessly upsets his tea Let current prices rise or fall There wil be a universal call From office, factory and home Where ere over the world folks roam For a good refreshing cup of tea The hall-mark of democracy.
