PRESIDENT DEFEATS CAPTAIN
The annual match between teams representing the President and Captain was played by the Whakatane Golf Club on Saturday and resulted in a win for the President’s side by 15 matches to 12. In a stableford handicap played in conjunction with the team’s match best cards were as follows: A. H. Morpeth 37, A. Blake 37, A. E. Conway 36, A. E. Shaw 35, F. F. Combes 34, R. N. Akel 33, T. W. Burke 33, L. Littlejohn 33, R. T. Cave 33, H. A. Wales 32.
