Recorded Talks For Broadcasting On Bay Of Plenty
Recently several talks of interest to the Eastern Bay of Plenty were recorded at Whakatane by a mobile recording unit of the National Broadcasting Service. These are now being broadcast through IYA on Tuesdays at 12.30 p.m. and a few are being re-broadcast through tYZ. The talks to be broadcast are:
August 8: An Eastern Bay of Plenty farm at Matata. August 15: Rangitaiki Dairy Factory and the pig industry. August 22: Whakatane sporting attractions. Methods of weed control.
August 29: Rehabilitation in Eastern Bay of Plenty. To Kooti and Wainui district.
September 5: Commerce and history of Whakatane. Drainage problems of the Rangitaiki Plains. September 12: Opouriao cheese factory. September 19: Whakatane Board Mills. Prevention of bloat. September 26: Whakatane Board Mills. The following talks are being broadcast during this month and September through IYA at 7 p.m. The dates and talks: —
August 9: Land development at Ohope. September 6: An Eastern Bay of Plenty timber mill. September 13: A model Waimana oig farm. September 20: Ruatoki land development.
September 27: High dairy production in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. 1 The following talks' are being broadcast by IYD on Thursdays at 7.30 p.m.:— August 10: Historical survey of the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
