AN APPRECIATION
Sir, —I would be grateful if you would allow me space to extend the thanks of my organisation to all those people in the Whakatane district who subscribed to the Auckland City Mission’s Old People’s Home appeal through the collections at the Regent Theatre last Friday and Saturday in connection with the screening of the film “Indictment.” \
The response to this appeal was most generous, nearly £6O being subscribed during the two days. I desire to thank the manager of the Regent, Mr R. Chapman, for his wholehearted support and co-opera-tion in this effort, also the Boy Scouts and boys from the Presbyterian Maori Boys’ Hostel, who assisted with the collections. Yours etc., REV. DOUGLAS CASWELL, City Missioner, Auckland. Auckland, August 1.
