Mrs J. Shapley has returned to Whakatane after a fortnight’s visit to Auckland and Coromandel.
The appointment of Miss J. E. Bell as assistant mistress to the Otakiri Primary School has been confirmed by the Auckland Education Board.
Delegates to the League of Mothers conference held at Hamilton this week were: Mesdames J. Metcalfe, B. Woolliams and A. Stenhouse, Whakatane. Delegates from Maori branches? Sister -Queale and Mrs L. Anderson, Te Teko, and Nurse Milroy, Kawerau.
