BOROUGH JOTTINGS

Driving Tests Five applicants, all of whom were successful, were tested for driving licenses last month. New Power Poles

Most of the .new power poles between Edgecumbe and Luxton’s Road have been fitted and erected by .the borough electrical staff.

Water Connections Six new connections were made last month, including two with meters. Two blowouts were repaired.

Priming Coats Priming coats have been applied to a short road on Hillcrest and to 11 chains of widening to the kerb in Commerce Street.

Lagoon Drainage A concrete apron with wing walls has been constructed as an outfall to the concrete pipes draining Patlagoon.

Check On Dogs A check is to be made on all wandering and unleashed dogs in the borough. A special watch is to be kept for dogs without dollars and the animals that hang round the Strand unleashed. Pie Cart Tender
