Box 87, 59 LAND TAX PAYABLE BY INDIVIDUALS In accordance with Order-in-Council dated 21st September, 1949, I hereby notify that Land-tax leviable under the Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1949 on land held by individuals is payable at any office of the Land and Income Tax Department or at any moneyorder post office in one sum on Monday, 16th January, 1950. The liability is not suspended by any objection, and the tyix must be paid on or before Monday, 6th February, 1950 to avoid the additional percentage; any overpayment will be refunded. DECENTRALISATION OF LAND TAX Land-tax records for individual taxpayers are being transferred to Departmental Branch offices, and the same rules relative to the location of these records will apply as for income tax. Where income tax files are held in a particular district, the land records will also be held in that district. Land tax demands for the current year are being issued from Wellington, but all inquiries should be addressed to the Superintendent of the district office concerned.
