A New Caruso? / Mario Lanza, sensational young tenor, hailed as a “New Caruso” is making his film debut in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s “That Midnight Kiss.” Playing opposite Kathryn Grayson in the new Technicolour musical, Lanza’s songs include “Oh, Mama, Mia Che Vo Sape” and “I Know, I know, I Know.” With Miss Grayson he sings “They Didn’t Believe Me” the Jerome Kern hit. Where Our Wool Goes In the first six months of the present export season, New Zealand shipped abroad 408,699 bales of wool, of which 232,172 bales went to the United Kingdom, according to figures supplied by the New Zealand Wool Board. France took 65,229 bales, the United States 33,972 bales, Holland 18,313 bales, and Canada 17,868 bales. The period does not cover that in which the Russians were heavy buyers of New Zealand wool. Distribution was widespread, however, the wool going to twenty-six different countries, including Greece, Egypt, Finland, Japan, and China.
