The following appointments to the staff of the new Whakatane High School have been confirmed by the Auckland Education Board: Mr V. C.' Butler, M.A., first assistant (Special post); Mr H. H. Craig, M.A. B.Sc., Dip Ed (Special post); Mr A. Breward, M.A. Dip Ed., head of department; Miss L. M. Lawes, B.A.j senior assistant mistress (Special post). Mr N. G. 'Gordon, 8.A., Mr S. K. Stubbs, 8.A., Mr T. K. Wilson, 8.A., Mr D. A. Hogg, M.A., Mr I. R. McLean, B. Mr G. F. Ridley, M.Sc., Mr C. J. Wild, Mrs A. S. Hall.
