Patients Decrease At Hospital

At the beginning of November there were 100 patients in the hospital but this number decreased* by ten at the end of the month, reported the medical superintendent, Dr. E. T. Dawson,' to the monthly meeting of the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board yesterday. There were 159 admissions, 62 males and 97 females, but 165 discharges, 103 being females. There were four male deaths and 44 births, of which 20 were males.

Light Horse Rally For the first time since it got under way a few weeks ago, the Ohope Light Horse Club is to stage a rally at the Whakatane Domain, commencing at 1.30 p.m. Sunday. Ohope riders will leave the sports ground at Ohope at. 10 a.m., and will have a picnic lunch (provided by themselves) when they arrive. There will be the usual short programme of competitions in the afternoon.
