Last Test
The All _Blacks will play their fourth and final test game against South Airica tomorrow. As previously the whole game will be broadcast by station 2YA. Wellington, commencing at about 1.15 a.m. on Sunday.
Two Bay Cricket A remit favouring two day cricket matches during the coming season was passed at the annual, meeting of the P. and T. Cricket Club at Whakatane. The Club alsa decided to apply for Sunday games again; as was dene last year.'
Film of All Blacks A film of the All Black team now in South Africa, is to commence screening at Whakatane today. The games filmed show the second test at Johannesburg and two other games, one against Western Pro>vince and the other against Natal. All the games are on one film, which lasts some considerable time.
Telegrams For Indonesia The Whakatane .Post Officfe has notified that telegrams for Indonesian Officers other than Batavia are still subject to considerable delay. Such telegrams are being accepted only at the sender’s risk. Letter telegrams are still not acceptable for Indonesia.
Some Whitebait Running Although there have been some whitebait running in most Bay of Plenty rivers this year the catches have not been as large as those caught at about the same peribd last season. At Whakatane whitebait A have been running but keeping to W the centre of the river. Fishermen off the Rurima Islands last weekend saw large shoals of the fish, apparently making for the coast.
