THREE SHIELD GAMES ON SATURDAY

On Saturday both the Rangitaiki and Whakatane Rugby Sub-Unions will be playing representative games. In the Hurinui Apanui Shield elimination round Rangitaiki meets Tauranga at Tauranga and Whakatane plays Apanui at Whakatane. The and Whakatane B teams will meet at Matata in the first challenge game of the year for the Moore Shield, of which Rangitaiki are the present holders.

Besides the Hurinui Apanui Shield game at Whakatane there v/ill be a primary school curtain raiser at 1.30 p.m. between the East and West schools.
