Have Your Nails Keep Their Shape
There is a proper way to shape the finger nails when filing so that there are no little frayed pieces left along the edges to mar their wellgroomed look. File nailsc with a long stroke towards the centre •of the nail, using an emery board. Use the coarse side first to shorten the nails, and then the fine side to shape tmd, smooth them. If you are just shaping the nail without shortening it, use only the finer side of the emery board. Run it lightly over the nail and shape from the tip out. After shaping, level th'e top edge of the nail with the fine side of the emery, holding it flat to remove any rough edges.
