R.S.A. BALL WAS EVENING TO BE REMEMBERED

Despite the uninviting weather on Thursday night, the R.S.A. ball at the Winter Show building drew a strong attendance of dancers, who spent a merry evening tripping gay measures to the lively tunes of Freddie dance band. No trouble had been spared with the decorations and here, as in the appetising array on the supper tables, the touch of willing feminine hands was apparent. Supper itself was on a lavish scale, in keeping with the obvious policy of the Association to make the evening a memorable one—an aim which was achieved with honours. There can be little doubt, after Thursday night, that the next time the Association whispers, intention of running a ball, there will be a scramble for invitations.

First of the big social functions of the season, the ball naturally held more than passing interest for the dress-conscious, and the frockmg of the women dancers added gaiety, glamour and romance. , Among those noticed on the floor were:—-
