Favoured with beautiful a picnic tournament. was held un-~ der the auspices of the Ohope Bowl— f ing Club at the week-end. Mr A. Millar had prepared a*; beautiful fast playing surface andL the 72 players, including team* from Rotorua, Opotiki, Taneatua*. Whakatane and Ohope, had a most*, enjoyable day. Teams skipped by Rixon, Murphy and Foster atua), Crawford (Rotorua) and-. Harris (Ohope) came out section* winners with 4 games each. \ In the post-section play Foster de*» feated Murphy and Crawford and** Harris defeated Rixon. The final be--
tween Foster, Taneatua, and Harris*.. Ohope, was very evenly matched-, and ran to an exciting finish. On the last end each skip thoughts his own team was holding the shot. So confident was Foster that he* made no use of his final bowl to alter the position. On the measure’* being taken Harris’s Ohope teamwon by an eighth of an inch, 6 —5Teams:—
