“Balloon Busters” With the appearance of balloons on the market a new sport appears to have developed among the boys of Whakatane. This consists of making a small “shang” with which .to fire pins and other articles at balloons in an effort to burst them. The Rodeo Show. 'Lance Skuthorpe’s popular Rodeo and grand circus show opened -a return season to Whakatane last evening when a large crowd enjoyed a tip-top programme of first class turns.
