Freak Asparagus

Among a collection of freak plants at the Bay of Plenty Times Office is an asparagus grown on the property of Mrs H. Croasdale, of Bethlehem. The stem of this stalk of asparagus, which has assumed gigantic proportions, is fiat and measures two inches across. The top portion is curved, the total length being in excess of four feet.
