! RANGITAIKI OUTFIELDS SERVICE ANNUAL MEETING HELD The annual meeting of the Rangi,ta'iki Presbyterian Outfields was held in the Matata Church Hall on the evening of the 26th July. There was a representative attendance of members from Matata Pongaltawa j Pukehina? Otamarakau and Awakaponga. In the absence of Rev. J. H. B.A. of Edgecumbe, the Moderator of the Mission Station: Rev. A. H. Norrie presided. The annual report showed that during the year the Home. Missionary Mr R. E. had been transferred to Mangaweka. Appreciation of his good -work was made and also of his wife's helpfulness. Rev. A. H. Norrie, of Te Puke had y been appointed to fill the vacancy. The usual routine of services had been carried out and there had been an increase over the previous year in the attendances. The membership trad suffered through removals, from the district of several active members but a number had joined dur* ing the year making the roll about the same as the previous year. Warm appreciation was made of the fa'it'h,ful work in conducting Sunday Schools of Mrs Scoles at Otamarakau Mrs F. A. Fulton at Pongar iawa Valley, and Miss L. Wilkins it Matata. A Bible Class is held fortnightly at. Matata and it is hop*;d to start one at Pukehina shortly. The Presbyterian Women's Mis-j----iionary Unions at Matata Pukehina i

and Otamarakau had done good work. The following honorary organists were thanked for their services: Mrs A. D. W'ilkins at Matata Mrs Mty Pherson and Miss Wilson' at Maiv awalie. Miss Mi'kkelsen and Miss Price at Otamarakau, Mrs G. Gordon at Pukehina and Miss Jean Norrie at Pongakawa. The financial statement read by the lion, treasurer Mrs A. D. Wilkr ins' ) showed that all expenses had been met. and there was a credit balance which it was subsequently agreed would be. used to pay oil the remaining debt on the church car. The retiring members of the Com r mittee of Management were reelected and Mr A. D. Wilkins name was added. Votes of thanks were passed to all who had helped in the year's working of the cause. At the close supper was served by the ladies.
