FINAL GAME FOR SHIELD
Tauranga proved too good for Opotiki on Saturday when the latter team made an effort to regain the Hurinui-iApanui Shield, the final score being IG-9.
BAY TEAM SELECTED The following team has been selected to represent Bay of Plenty versus Waikato at Hamilton, on Saturday next, August 23:— Fullback: Poroa (Tauranga). Three-quarters: Sellars (Whakatane), Willoughby, Faulkner (Tauranga) . Five-eighths: Ratima (Rangitaiki), Morrison (Rotorua). Halfback: Lendrum (Opotiki)./ Forwards: Delamere (Opotiki), Mathieson (Rotorua), Bell (T'aaranga), Hughes (Whakatane), Rauwhero (Rotorua), Whitely, Phillips (Rangitaiki), Tairua (Opotiki). Emergencies: R. Hall, Tata (Tauranga), G. Moore (Whakatane), M. Lees (Rangitaiki). Bus will leave Opotiki' 6 a.m. Saturday morning picking up Whakatane, Rangitaiki and Rotoru.i
