OTAKIRX BRANCH MONTHLY MEETING HEU> The usual monthly meeting of the Otakiri Women's Institute-was held • recently When Mrs Tickner presided The proceedings opened with the singing of the "Ode to Friendship, after which the president read the headquarters notes from "Home and Country." * Members enjoyed a short community sing of old Scotch songsRecently, in aid of funds the Institute held a social and baz-, aar, the balance sheet -for which was presented by Mrs Tickner and adopted by the meeting. Mrs Higham; the delegate to the Council meeting at Matata, presented her report and was accorded a tote of thanks. The roll call, "My Pet Economy" was answered by members. Tlie competitions for the day re--' suited:—Best Bloom: Mrs Tickner t and 3, Mrs Robb 2. Ginger Bread; Mrs Kedgley 1» Mrs Tickner 2.
