Sox for the Troops. Details of the number of pairs of sox to be knitted in the various districts under the Auckland Provincial Council of the Patriotic Association are: "A" (North Auckland), 500 pairs; "B" (Rodney County), 150; "E" (South Auckland), 800: "F" (Rotorua), 100: "G" (Bay of Plenty), 300. Initial calculations allowed four skeins of wool to one pair of sox, but it has subsequently been determined that seven skeins of wool would knit two pairs. Accordingly, the extra skein in each set of two pairs will be available for the making of* other suitable articles, concerning which details will be given later.
