SITUATION IN FAR EAST
(Rec. 8.35 a.m.) London, Nov. 17. United States diplomatic chiefs in the Far East are to meet at Bangkok at the end of January to review the situation in the area. The United States Ambassador-at-large (Dr Jessop) will attend the talks.
Before going to Bangkok he will visit Japan, the Philippines, Nationalist China and a number of other countries.
This was announced in Washington today after President Truman had Reviewed United States policy in the Far East, with Mr Acheson, ( Dr Jessop and other senior officials of the State Department.
