Shah Of Persia To Ask U.S. For More Military Aid
(Roe. 8.55 a.m.) London, Nov. 17. The Shah of Persia, who is on an official visit to the United States, said in Washington today that he would ask President Truman for more military aid for his country.
He told a news conference that his country was important for world peace and especially for security in the Middle East. Persia would like to see in the future a Middle East defence pact, on the lines of the'North Atlantic Treaty. The Shah said that his country's relations with Russia had improved a little.
