Stream Of Inquiries For British Manufactured Goods

(Rec. 8.35 a.m.) London, Oct. 28. The Board of Trade in London reports that since devaluation a remarkable number of inquiries for British goods has come in from all parts of the world. The Board has agents in most of the world’s chief cities and every day they send back to London reports about openings for British goods. These reports show, for example, that Canada is particularly interested in British - machinery, but inquiries have ranged ’from lead pencils from Los Angeles, to fire extinguishers for New Zealand. The reports are sifted out in London and are then sent out to 5000 exporters, manufacturers, and chambers of commerce in all parts of Britain.
