BELLS PEAL FOR AMETHYST
(Rec 8.50 a.m.) London. Oct. 27. H.M.S. Amethyst left Gibraltar today on the last stage of her iourney home, from the Yangtse. The bells of churches in La Linea, a nearby Spanish town, were pealing as she steamed out of the harbour.
