PRESENTATION DANCE AT MOUNT

A very successful presentation, and end-of-season dance was held by the Mount Maunganui Basketball Club in the Peter Pan Hall on Saturday evening when trophies won during the season were presented. The Merit Cup, donated by Mr D. Morris, for the best all-rounder in the Mount Maunganui club, was won by Beverley Cockerton who also received a miniature of the trophy. The Teams Cup for the most points secured in competition play between the two Mount teams went 1o the A team, while the Gold Cup for interplay between the girls and boys’ indoor basketball club, was won by the girls. Trophies secured by the club in the Tauranga competition and at outside tournaments during the year, were also on display. A competition was won bv Mrs A. E. Chapman. The master of ceremohies was Mr T. Dwane.
